Problem/Challenge Description

The Treasure Beach Destination Management Organization (DMO) produces a physical map of Treasure Beach that contains a variety of points of interest including: accommodations, attractions, restaurants, etc. At present the map is produced digitally, then printed and copies provided to visitors on demand.. There is a need for a mobile version of the map that can be downloaded on mobile devices and provide visitors with a more informed and interactive experience with all that Treasure Beach has to offer

Community Notice Board ~ What's happening in my Commnity?

A mobile Events App that functions like a Community events bulletin board. Registered members of the community can post information on upcoming events. These activities are displayed on an a community calendar that includes venue information.

Problem/Challenge Description

Visitors to the Community need to have ready access to current information on local events and happenings in the Community.

Manage My Data

A mobile/web application that enables the user to "claim" a digital entity and manage it's online presence, including the ability to upload various forms of multi-media descriptions such as images, video,music to describe special features of the entity. This includes updating dynamic information such as a restaurant menu, or an events calendar.

Problem/Challenge Description

Owners/Operators of Community attractions (eg. Accommodations, Entertainment, WaterSports, Shopping, Craft, Food) that can provide varied offerings for Guests, need to be able to create and manage their own online presence and information.

Plan-U-Stay

Plan-U-Trip is a web/mobile application that allows a Tourist to identify all the hotels, local attractions and activities that they would like to experience during their visit. They can then construct a visit calendar that will map an itinerary of their activities including transportation services.

Problem/Challenge Description

Tourists generally have limited (finite) time during their visit to maximize their trip experience. This is especially true of cruise-ship visitors that typically have 4 - 8 hours available in port

Tourist attraction mobile locator and referral App

This will be a web or mobile application that can be freely downloaded to the mobile phone by visitors, that provides the ability to search for and locate hotels, or other tourist attractions using various criteria. It also provides a referral/recommender function that allows guests to rate or comment on a hotel or attraction at which they have stayed.

Problem/Challenge Description

Many small hotels, properties and community attractions don't have the resources to be featured in major tourist promotion channels, and hence rely on word-of-mouth referrals for their patronage

This mobile App will enable visitors to select from several pre-configured scheduled Tours, and create a booking for preferred available timeslots with certified tourguides to conduct the tour. Community tourism is best experienced by interacting with persons who possess a wealth of knowledge and are fiercely passionate about their community. However finding an official certified Tourguide is not always easy.
